The Wonders_of_Physics was started by Professor_Clint_Sprott,
and was designed to stimulate interest in science, and to show people that
physics is fun and that science is for everyone. Every February since 1984
Professor Sprott has presented the Wonders of Physics to standing-room-only
crowds in Sterling Hall on the UW_Madison campus.
Well, it wasn't long before schools and other groups started asking for presentations off campus. And there you have it - the Wonders of Physics Traveling Show was born! Since 1988, there have been over 800 presentations of the traveling show, to a total audience of about 100,000. We've mostly gone to K-12 schools, but have also presented at Cub Scout banquets, community centers, and conferences, to name a few.
Well, that's about it! We'll go just about anywhere, touting physics!
