Dear Friend of Physics Education,

I'm sure you're aware that science has never been more important in everyone's  lives.  Yet, most people in America today are scientifically illiterate.  It has been shown that girls start to loose interest in science around the 4th grade, and many other studies have documented a lack of interest in science by students of all ages.  We need to turn this around if we want America to compete on a global level!  Science isn't just for scientists, technicians, and engineers!  We need scientifically literate community leaders, decision makers, people of all professions, to help America face our future endeavors!

To meet this challenge, our program is raising funds so that we can take the program to a new level. Our goal is to increase the number of WOP presentations at schools - especially in those districts far from the UW Madison campus, as well as those schools that don't have an adequate source of science funding - establish summer physics demonstration workshops for K-12 science teachers, and explore other methods of physics education.

It is my hope that you would consider becoming an inaugural sponsor of this WOP initiative by sending us a check of any amount to show your continued support of physics education.  Our suggested donation levels are listed below.  Please make your donation payable to the Wonders of Physics, and send it to the address below.

I thank you for your support!!

Sincerely,
